Swine flu has affected mankind before, this is not a first. It happened back in 1976, when on February 5th, a soldier at Fort Dix informed his superior about the weakness and fatigue that he experienced, but did not feel the need to pay a visit to the doctor’s because the symptoms did not seem serious. However, 24 hours later, that army recruit was already dead. Swine flu was actually the reason why that person died and since the 1918 plague nothing as grave had ever occurred.
In fact, the first time this type of influenza was referred to as “swine flu” was a couple of week after the death of that soldier, when the American health authorities stated publicly that “swine flu” was responsible for the death of that recruit and the hospitalization of other four soldiers in Burlington County.
In order to prevent a tragedy like the one triggered by the 1918 pandemic, the president of the U.S.A. was advised by medical specialists to order the vaccination of all the citizens of the country. The swine flu virus was considered to be extremely dangerous. The authorities actually tried to get all the people vaccinated against swine flu by giving the lethal case of that soldier as well as the infection of the others as a solid example.
As a result, 40 million people were vaccinated and the problem was solved. Only later, there were studies which proved that this swine flu virus was not as perilous as everybody thought it to be. What is worse is that the vaccine against swine flu actually made more victims than the swine flu respiratory disease.
Several months later, following that impressive campaign, there were claims of 1.3 billion dollars, requested by those who ended up paralyzed after the vaccination against swine flu. 25 people were declared dead because of the same reason. Hundreds of individuals were affected by the Guillain-Barré syndrome following the inoculation against swine flu. Young people in their twenties unfortunately became paraplegic because of the vaccine. The consequences of this mass vaccination were indeed horrible.
