What Causes a Stroke?

Whenever a blood vessel that carries nutrients and oxygen to the brain is ruptured or obstructed by coagulated blood, stroke hits. Because of stroke, the affected side of the brain is deprived of blood and oxygen. Stroke renders inactive the nerve cells of the damaged area and they end up dead due to lack of oxygen. Because the nerve cells are affected thus they cannot do their work, the correspondent body parts controlled by them are unable to work properly as well.

  • Weak or even paralyzed legs or arms
